When I Started:
Sep, 2009
How I Started:
I initally started working out when I was about 13, kept at it pretty hardcore till I was about 17. Kinda fell off the bandwagon for a few years. AT the beginning of this year- January 2009... I decided to go vegan. Doing that definitely helped me control my weight, but now- September 2009, I would like to get back to a regular gym schedule and transform my skinny fat into an enviable body powered by a vegan lifestyle!
Why I Love It:
Working out gets me in "the zone" and I just tend to forget about everything else going on in my life. It's great stress relief too. When I walk out of the gym, I feel so energized and happy and ready to take on the world!
How I Stay Motivated:
By knowing that if I achieve my goals, I can encourage other female vegans to get in shape and not rely solely on their diet as of means to stay "healthy".

It has definately helped my muscle gains as I got up to 280 at one point..which I thought was TOO big...but I also put alot of fat on too :-( I think some of us ME being one of them are just better off veggie..but I just cant with my goals. I'll be very interested to see you progress...Like I said when I first went veggie, I lost over a hundred lbs in a year...and I think was the healthiest I've ever been..

Thrive?? havent heard of it, But i will for sure look into it.. No, I'm not vegetarian anymore...If you look at my progress pics, the 1st 2 I have up were from my vegan days..I was ALOT leaner and did look better imo, but my goal changed around then I wanted to break the 200lb mark and just couldnt do it on the veggie diet. I started out slow going to eggs then poultry I just started eating red meat again about 6 months ago

I was just curious..I was a strict vegan for 2 to 3 years...I lost alot of weight..100lbs the first year but found I had a hard time building any muscle...the bv value of soy protein is so low that you have to ingest a BOAT load of it to make any muscle gains...I wish you the best of luck...!!
