How I Started:
I started working in an effort to maintain and upright position throughout the rest of my adult life. Without physical activity of some sort, you start to wither away.
Why I Love It:
I love working out for the strength and stress reducing benefits I have acheived.
How I Stay Motivated:
I Stay motivated in my life and workouts through my beautiful wife and three kids. Gotta stay alive and healthy till they are done with me!

Just a couple of day of anarobic/aerobic training and lost some bodyfat...ALOT to go still!
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I had a shoulder injury when I was younger. I recovered from this injury with plenty of rest and zero work/workouts involving the shoulder. I then slowly increased resistance (even though it i could press the weight incredibly easy) so that my connective tissues and ligaments could rebuild prior to muscle building. What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Trying to hard to impress the general populace of the gym can be a cause. Lift with proper form. In my opinion, form is more impressive that lifting heavy weight incorrectly.

The most dangerous weightlifting exercise is ANY exercise done to impress others; fast jerky motions, improper joint and/or connective tissue warmups, exercises beyond YOUR range of motion.
