I started by just lifting weights we had in our basement...every body part..every other day. I did everything totally wrong. I would do the same exact exercises. We only had two 20 lb dumbells and I used the arms of a couch as my bench press. This meant I could only go down until my elbows hit the ground. When I finally did get a gym membership, I found this site right away and changed up my whole lifestyle.
Why I Love It:
Its a challenge that shows physical improvement and rewards you for your dedication. No one is naturally gifted at lifting heavy things, you have to earn what you are capable of doing.
How I Stay Motivated:
Watch youtube videos of ronnie coleman, arnold, jay cutler and all the huge guys. I also am concious at all times that what I may be eating or doing in place of sleep will effect my goals in the gym. Months of hard work can easily be undone with a few bad decisions.
Got home from the gym and had 30 minutes before church so I took a shower and tried to get a decent post workout meal in. I ate everything as fast as I could in the car just in time to get walk into the building...and hurled all over the parking lot! I didnt even care that I was puking but all...
