How I Started:
Weightlifting started in High School for sports, primarily strength training for football. I did crew in college. It has always been used to complement my sports, but since i have a meniscus tear per knee, I wanted to keep fit before I get arthritis later in life.
Why I Love It:
I love science. Especially the minute details that make results that much better. I love researching nutrition, training methods and supplementation. Putting them to use in a program that fits me and my schedule has immeasurable value.

Goal (Long):
Change my lifestyle and really solidify my knowledge of nutrition for maintaining a lean body. With some knee injuries i know i dont have too long to correct my eating habits before i'm 50 and 50 lbs overweight, so the key is the science of training and nutrition.
I have been at my peak lbm for a while now , near 190lbs, and i've been having a hard time trying to cut myself back down to where i'd like to be. I don't want to compete or model, i just want to lose a little weight so that my knees won't ache when I go hiking for more than 5 hours. So...
I use a program designed in Fredrick Hatfield's "Hardcore Bodybuilding, a scientific approach". It emphisises working out the muscles whenever can at various intensities given adequate rest for the particular muscle group and muscle type.
