When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
After moving to Hawaii and joining the Army in 2007, I packed on about 20 pounds. I was working with a trainer prior to that and got stellar results. Needless to say, I didn't respect the temple that was built.
Now, I am ready to do it for real; for life. I recently celebrated my 30th birthday and I want to focus on being healthy, fit, and happy so I can live life to the fullest. My goal is to compete, be a fitness/figure model, and a professional health nut!
I joined Team Poynter and began my program on June 7, 2009. Steve and Team Poynter has helped me accomplish so much! In the past several months, my body has changed dramatically and I love how I look and feel! I just need a tan! :) Whatever, pale is the new black.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it makes me feel good. I like being strong and having defined muscles and a trim physique.
How I Stay Motivated:
YOU GUYS!!!
BB Accomplishments:
Since June 2009, I have nearly 25 pounds, 18 inches, and 11% BF.

Overall, I want to lead a healthy lifestyle, exude positivity, help others, be happy; LIVE LIFE with the ones I LOVE, laugh a lot, and be the best ME I can be. PS I am TAKEN. :)
Goal (Long):
For the next 3-4 months I am going to maintain my healthy vegan lifestyle and work on building lean mass by going to the gym to lift 4-5 times a week; improve my cardiovascular endurance by incorporating sprints and stairs once a week into my regimen of one short run and one long run a week; improve my flexibility by going to at least 1 yoga class a week. In May 2010, I plan on entering and competing in my very first figure competition in Charlotte, NC.
E inspires me because even though he thought he would never drop below 190 but he surpassed his goal of 185. I admire his no excuses attitude and determination.
Not only does Heather have a rockin hot bod, but she is super sweet and down to earth......she inspires me because she has made such a change in a short time and has a killer attitude. And amazing gams.
What supplements do you take immediately before your workout? Why?
Just a balance of protein and complex carbs...maybe an organic apple and almond butter or a handful of organic trail mix consisting of nuts, seeds, and fruit.
Yesterday was good. I did a little 2.5 mile run (it was foggy, cold, and my original 5 mile route was on busy main roads; I wanted to avoid them under the conditions and heavy holiday traffic). I noshed on healthy eats with friends last night, and had only 2.5 glasses of red wine. All in...

I just stopped by to wish you nothing but success as you work towards your fitness goal. Too many people think it can’t be done and so they don't even try but you are proving that with hard work and dedication it can be. Keep up the great work. I look forward to watching your continuing progress. You are a great inspiration to so many
others.
