What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I have sustained numerous amounts of (left)ankle injuries due to playing basketball. No, no one broke my ankles, I always have the luck of comming down on peoples feet when i go up for rebounds. The only way to recover is to rest and not to strain the ankle for a while. I've been taking joint booster for recovery help but it'll never be the same. The worst injury was to my lower back not to long ago. I was squating and my back went out, even with my lifting belt on. I felt a slight pull and that was about when i couldn't stand up straight and had to call it a day and couldn't workout for a while. What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
There are many reasons for injuries so i'll just list the most common i have experianced. One is not streching before the workout, two is the fact that people don't try to lift weights but try to lift their image for the people around them (know your limits). What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
Squating and Deadlifts!! Both required very good form if not perfect form to stay in good conditions. Train hard but always be safe!!
