Played baseball, took weighlifting in high school....overtime injuries prevented me from playing baseball at a high level and I decided to put a lot of time and energy towards bodybuilding.
Why I Love It:
Its the one thing I have complete control over, I don't have to depend on anyone else. If I fail or succeed its a result of my hard work and dedication or lack of...It occupies a lot of my time and constantly gives me new goals to try and conquer. BB Accomplishments:
Nothing major....I was fat when i was young, then skinny, then fat, then skinny, and then I finally started getting in shape and adding on some muscle along the way.

I was 12 years old in this pic. You can see my double chin! It doesn't show much but you can see I was way overweight and extremely chubby. My parents let me eat whatever I wanted. I loved sodas, honey buns, donuts, pizza, doritos, etc...
What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Believing Benching and Curling is all that mattered.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Train your entire body, and study nutrition because you can work harder than everyone at the gym but if your diet is crap your not going to get the most out of your training.

Do you monitor your heart rate while doing cardio?
I woke up this morning feeling horrible. Back was knotted up, I woke up at 5am then woke up every hour on the hour about till 11 or so and couldn't get comfortable. I'm strung out over women issues, bothered, saddened, etc...not going to go there but its tough. I almost didn't go to the gym,...
Day 1 - Legs/Calves
Day 2 - Chest
Day 3 - Back
Day 4 - Shoulders/Traps
Day 5 - Arms
I randomly throw in my Ab and Calf Exercises. I've tried other splits and this works best for me. I know people like to do the upper body/lower body thing or pair Chest & Back...
Just want to say I admire your advice your giving as its thoughtful and sincere and not the typical "sleep with hoes" response that 99% of the misc responds with. Good luck to you on your fitness goals.
Cardio was the hardest thing for me to start! It helps to do it first thing in the morning and get it over with. Now, I actually enjoy it...I feel so much better after I do it! A contest sounds good to me...I'm pretty competitive haha. I'll start hounding you about that cardio!
i love big dogs but i dont want one that i cant handle...one that can kick my ass! both of my bros have huge dogs that have literally knocked me on my ass! mine may not listen to me, but i can pick him up ;-)
