When I Started:
Apr, 2009
How I Started:
All my life I was the tall skinny ectomorph that couldn't gain weight to save his life. I ate everything in site and still was skinny like a rail. This eating habit would later in life work against me, but little did I know that muscle was made in the kitchen. I was always told it was made in the gym. About age 19 I got serious about working out. I ate the same but added protein powder and creatine. I used Cell tech and Nitro tech and I went from 185 to 225 in about 6 months. I thought I was doing well, but then life happened. I met my wife and we started dating. I quite going to the gym, but didn't stop eating like I was. I got away with it for about 4 years before I started packing on the "bad pounds". Then I got married and become even more lazy with a healthy life style. Plus, my hummingbird metabolism started to slow down to a normal persons. Then the extra weight came. Then back in April of 09 I made a decision to get back on track. I researched and asked questions on what to eat and what not to eat. Learned the science of this(and still learning). So far I have lost about 35lbs with a proper diet and next I plan to try to bulk up some more before I cut down any further since I naturally don't carry a lot of muscle. I work shift work so the process wont be easy but I know with perseverance I can reach my goals.
Why I Love It:
The feeling of accomplishment is over whelming. Pushing myself past my limits to create gains. The rush of it all. Plus, get to look better in the process.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading transformations, a friend at work that once was a body builder, and my wife.
