I used to do Charles Atlas' Dynamic Tension exercises which was mostly isometrics. When I completed the course, I
was truly satisfied with the results, but wanted more, so I bought a set of weights and shortly after, I got involved in Karate.
Why I Love It:
It takes all the negativity out of me as well as daily stress from work and personal problems. I also think it's important for a martial artist like myself to have a lean toned flexible physique as well as a positive mentality. This alone has built me a better body and most of all, has made me a better Karate fighter. Truthfully, I'd rather be a good person, because I hate fighting.
How I Stay Motivated:
I run 10 laps around my block near the crack of dawn every morning and read a book while breakfast. It helps my mood increase and then I go to work. After a hard day at work, I take a shower and I put it all behind me. Then I lift weights for a few hours and drive off to Karate. After Karate, I feel great, and hang out. This routine makes me feel refreshed.
BB Accomplishments:
I am training in Shorin-Ryu Okinawan Karate to be an instructor. I am also involved in many aspects of weight training as this sport is an absolute must for weight training.

I was always skinny growing up, and never athletic at all. I was always scared in my surroundings and never hung out with the big guys. Plus, I was sick and tired of looking like a little kid. I guess it was a shy thing. So, I started isometrics. This was taken a month before my 20th birthday....
A recent pic of me adding more size to my neck and shoulders as well as my biceps. Thanks to weight training and Karate I am now getting much more satisfied in my position and am seeing better results.
As long as I set my place where I want it, I'll be happy. Also, I want to help build confidence and train others not to be afraid of what's outside waiting for them and take the knowledge from the generosity of others to help improve my quest for perfection. On top of that, I wish to give the same in return.
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I like to stretch and clear my head on all negativity by meditating. Negativity is a distraction and meditation helps release all those
unhealthy feelings.

Do you currently have a workout partner?
Yes
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
My workout partner keeps me motivated and keeps me on my feet.
They got your back, and at the same time you got theirs.

What type of person at your gym annoys you the most? Why?
Arrogant. Because they think they're better than everybody else.
Why I like this video: It just goes to show that anyone can accomplish a dream in this sport no matter what their body looks like.
The Strongest Karate
Played: 108
Why I like this video: This is some of the sickest footage of what Karate in the past used to be. It's alot more tamed now, but back then it was brutal. This is a series of DVD's I own and found the trailer on Youtube. It's an incredible documetary.
The Bodybuilder and I
Played: 81
Why I like this video: This is a pretty funny documentary and you seem to understand the relationship and feelings of the director's embarrassment towards his father who is a bodybuilder.
Dennis Tinerino Played: 76
A Force of One fight scene HL_by Sportivoz Played: 64
2006 Santa Susana Pro Played: 63
Stefan Orosz Played: 50
jim carrey-female bodybuilder Played: 105
Paco Bautista hoy... Played: 44
Bruce Lee "Enter The Dragon" fight scene Played: 56
I know at times you people out there have a hard time keeping up your regimes. I also have that too, but find ways to keep up with them. The best way to keep yourself at it and do what you do is LOVE it! That's right! I realized if you don't LOVE what you do, you'll never be good at...
This is a two week hardcore program to burn calories and gain muscle very quickly by doing a set of workouts. Also, it involves many activities and you need to eat alot and drink plenty of water and you have to eat healthy. It's only a 14 day workout,...
Hi Eddie, Thanks for the kudos. You are looking well yourself. I play 3 instruments, but not as active publicly as I once was. Wish I knew Karate like you do. Maybe when I get older...lol
Hey Eddie! Doin great! HUNGRY! LOL! I'm 10 day from the Oregon State and 16 days to Masters Nats! I feel ready. And no matter the outcome, I know I've done my best! You're up kinda late? THX for checking in friend! Means a lot! ed aka Ol Supe
What's up my friend! Haven't touched base with ya in a while. I've just had an entire week of epic workouts and was thinking of blogging about it. Hope all is well in your world.
It is in one of the pictures. They broke me of droping the hand in college MA club by the simple expediant of smacking me up side the head when I did it during drils and basics. A little old school and less than PC but it DID work...
Purple belt? Pic a little fuzzy. Nice progress so fair and I like your take on what martial arts is about. I also love to cook myself..mostely german and eastern european dishes. You might want to work on not droping your forward hand when you throw a roundhouse kick..but lots of people do it and I have to fight myself not to when I am not paying attention like I should.
