I've struggled with being overweight my entire life. I have always had the "want" to lose weight and be fit, but never had the direction or proper guidence. Due to a lack of guidence, the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle didn't "click". Mysteriously, and without pushing it, the fitness lifestyle "clicked" on January 1, 2005.
Why I Love It:
I love the accomplishment of it all - the fact that I did it all on my own (and with the guidence of a friend, but ultimately on my own). I love the challenge that bodybuilding presents to me and the way it constantly "pushes" me to be better and better.
How I Stay Motivated:
How I follow a very strict diet is a mystery to me..all I can say is that I must want this lifestyle pretty damn bad.
Now, how I stay motived at the gym is a different story. I love seeing results and seeing my body change. I think about this [bodybuilding, health, fitness, etc] at any given second during the day. Being the best I can be, both physically and mentally, is ALWAYS on my mind. I am constantly trying to come up with ways to make myself better. I think of this as my gift to myself. This is for ME, not for anyone else. And, this is the most valuable gift anyone can give to themself.
BB Accomplishments:
My number one accomplishment was to lose weight, which I have done. So far, I have lost approximatly 83 lbs. Right now, it is all about the toning, tweaking, and building muscle.
My goals are to get rid of that disgusting lose skin I have as a result of being overweight in the past. This will come with a very strict, lean diet, lots of clean water, and a lot of consistency at the gym....unless someone knows of a magic pill that will disolve all that lose skin!
One day, I'd like to compete in a fitness competition or somehow bust into the fitness field in one way or another.
Thanks:) Were you wearing new sneakers? I sometimes get a pain in the middle of my foot from running too. I probably don't land correctly. So I just got a running basics book from the library to learn. I hope your foot feels better! Soak it !!
