This pic is at about 159 lbs. and flabby. I had lost about 5 lbs at this point, more tightened in the legs and midsection than previously, and thought I was doin good, hence the tank and shorts. Not it but made some progress.
I've lost 17 lbs. to date, which I'm happy about, but it's obvious that I need to firm up.
Long-range: I want transform my body and compete in 2010. I am aim to tighten my physique in 2009. I initially wanted to be at my goal weight by December 2008, but some life stressors set me back.
I've never had a flat stomach, nor have I ever seen my ab muscles (wow, I know), so that's a definite goal. I want to lean out. I've always had a built (some say "thick") physique. I would typify my body as endo-mesomorphic. I have a tendency to carry fat in my midsection, glutes, and thighs, and gain muscle rather quickly.
Ultimately, I've been trying to lose wieght since I was a Freshman in college, and have never reached my goal. It's been almost 10 years since then. But, to my credit, I haven't blown up in size like some of my contemporaries. However, I'm not happy with my holding pattern either.
I feel like I've been chasing my youth, in the sense of never having that teen or early-twenties physique. I'm tryin to make this happen before I hit 30 in a few years. I've spent my life wanting a better body, and want to actually have it. I plan on pressing towards my goals and living a healthy life for many years to come.
