I got picked on and shoved around a lot in High School, so I decided to hit the weights and once I got into better shape, I enjoyed beating my other classmates at sports.
Why I Love It:
I like to create new goals for myself, to track my progress, and to see results.
How I Stay Motivated:
Anger. Revenge. Obsession. The body is a piece of art. There are always adjustments that need to be made in order to make it more symmetrical. There is no such thing as perfection, yet that's what I strive for.

I was thinking about maybe looking to start doing local powerlifting competitions within the next few years if I think I'll have any chance. lol. Does anyone have any idea on what the qualifying and average weights would be for someone my size (i'd be competing between 180 - 210 lbs...
Dude,
sorry to take sooo long. Been away a bit. Check out www.pikitup.com for national raw powerlifting out of clearfield. Good luck! there's a meet in bigler in October.
aiming to just gain some good solid mass. If i ever get big enough i'd love to compete but thats years os tears and sweat from now. And yeah it def is a work in progress bro.
You are welcome. Nope, no comps for me yet. And after attending the Arnold and training with bb1968, I'm going to change up my training and diet to pack on more muscle before thinking about competing. -Jeff

What about you?
There is a strongman forum and that might have ideas. Its just that if you look at world strongman contests, the high flyers are all around 120k+. Usually they are around 180 or more in height but i don't think height is the handicap in your case. Its the weight that will hold you back. Constantly the reason they fail is being too light. Check the forum to see if you can bulk by muscle to hit that kind of weight.
Really?! I had no idea you were that close! Excellent.
Yup, that's (the place with the powerlifting rock outside) the other Gym that I work out at. The business is Siegel engraving, owned by Al, Jay, and Brenda Siegel. It's also the home of the ADAU. Gym in the basement. Last year or two though I've been training mostly at home due to injuries with my lifting partners.
Where you at? Karthaus? Houtzdale? Ramey?
Hey X, thanks for the compliment. Things are pretty decent over here at the home of the 123 lb. hamburger. Training, eating, and training some more. How goes it in your neck of the woods?

if u wanna be a cage fighter, work n work those abs, important not only to be rock hard to take punches, but as core (centre) of body will help u in bending moves on yor opponent n in resisting his bending moves on you
