I've been working out off and on for years! I was dedicated to working out back when I was boxing since age 5, and doing track in high school. Over the years, I let myself go, but now that I'm a family man, I want to be around for as long as I can for my family. I owe it to them, but most of all, I owe it to myself.
Why I Love It:
I love feeling healthy and flexible. To be able to hang with my son in sports again is a good feeling. And it's good stress management.
How I Stay Motivated:
Myself, my son and wife. I want to be around for as long as I can, and I love seeing the results.
BB Accomplishments:
Doing my pushups, squats, situps, and other bodyweight exercises for 5 straight weeks now! Going into week 6!
New goal: 36 jeans.
Forum Signature:
Life is not a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well preserved body, but rather
to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,
totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming,
''Wow, what a ride!''

After my last post, I sat back and thought about the workout I was doing. All those pushups and everything else I was doing was good, but I needed to do something overall to kick my ass. Google is a good friend, and here's a few things...
Thanks for the advice, I hope I don't have diabetes...but I could really be dehyradted. I do live in one of the hottest, dryest cities around. But I think my problem is it is a learned habit from my childhood. It is emotional and hard to break.
