When I Started:
1992
How I Started:
I always liked the idea of having muscles. I think that I was pushed over the edge when I saw the second Terminator film with Linda Hamilton. She was one of the first women who had a physique I admired. Afterward, I found some pictures of Cory Everson, Mia Finnegan and some others that really inspired my. My sister talked me into going to the gym with her. I agreed because it was an all women's gym. Back then, I was way too intimidated to work out with men present! We hired a trainer for a few sessions so we could use the equipment properly and so that we would have good form when doing our workouts. Luckily, we got the right person. He did what we expected but he also gave us a program to follow. We had a lot of fun hanging out together at the gym. Lo and behold, a few months later I started seeing changes. My stick-thin arms started to show some definition and I was looking just a tiny bit more curvy and less like a skeleton! I liked what I saw and that was enough to keep me going back!
Why I Love It:
I like the discipline and order working out brings to my life. The aesthetic result is nice and I am always trying to get better but the psychological benefit is great too. I am a naturally anxious person and I am prone to worrying. I find the physical demands at the gym tend to calm me down. It keeps me fit and HAPPY!
How I Stay Motivated:
I get a lot of motivation from watching other people working hard at the gym. Luckily, we have some serious lifters who inspire me put out the energy I need to get the results I want.
BB Accomplishments:
I'm not a competitor. I'm just trying to stay strong and lean!
I had been working out for a long time but didn't gain the muscle I wanted. I decided to watch my eating (more and better) and lift heavy! I know, horrible pose but it shows what I was working with!
Little Miss Hardgainer has put on a whole pound! Time to celebrate...it only took weeks of BIG eating and BIG lifting...
To my Dad (and his cadre of friends), Thank you for your service to our country. To those of you serving now, thank you for protecting my boys until they are old enough to return the favor. My appreciation to all of you is endless.....
What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Generally, I do not like celebrity bodies...too thin/skinny. I like the fitness/figure competitor physique MUCH better!

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I don't have to do anything before a workout. I always look ahead with anticipation. During a workout I MUST have my Ipod. I absolutely rely on my upbeat music to get me pumped!!

Hmmm...The bad guy got a boo-boo! How unfortunate. It seems that this has led to some confusion. Court Martial...commendation. I know they both start with the letter "c" but they aren't quite the same. I used to teach Kindergarten. I believe I am skilled enough to explain...
