When I Started:
Jan, 1985
How I Started:
I started working out to improve as a BMX racer. After I stopped racing BMX, I decided to put my competitive energy into bodybuilding. I've now been competing in BB contest for 16 years.
Why I Love It:
It's all about having a goal or a dream of what you want to achieve or look like. Without dreams and aspirations, what do we have?
How I Stay Motivated:
I simply stay focused on my goal. It's also motivating when I hear that I inspire others. Helping others achieve their goals is as, if not more important than me achieving my own goals.
BB Accomplishments:
Steadily improving for 20 years now. Again, even more important than that is being able to inspire others through my bodybuilding.

Hi Dr Clay. Loved your article about low-volume training. I've started doing something similar. :)

Would a first-4th rib cause me intense pain in my scapula/rhomboid/lower trap area as well as my clavical? I was just seen for this and it reduced the pain 100% but I just want to make sure that was the culprit. they said the 1st-4th were out (due to football injuries over the years) - pain has been 2 years

Hi, What would you say were the best joint supplements to take? I have a clicky shoulder ( no pain), and was wanting your thoughts on the matter. I am starting to do some light rotator cuff exercises (external rotations lying on my side), and working on my posterior deltoids to balance out the shoulder more. Any advice would be appreciated as you seem to make some extremely good posts. Thanks!

I showed my trainer your shoulder routine today so we tried it. I about died even with no weight on the bar and only 10lb DB's for the raises. THANKS, it's what I needed!!

I just saw your "Mass & Strength" routine listed this week and it looks very good. I'm an intermediate level, 45 year old natural lifter. Is there a need to take a deload week after 4-5 weeks on your program? I currently train each muscle once per week: 3 x 3, then 2 x 12 for my compound lifts, and 3 x 10 for isolation exercises. I have found that I need to deload every 5 - 6 weeks and then change exercises.

Thank you for your advice on floor presses. I used to live in Hayward, and worked out at Medinas Gym. You definitly should compete. Your more than ready for the NPC.
