When I Started:
Oct, 2003
How I Started:
I began going to the gym during high school waking up @ 4am every other day to get a workout in before school. I hung drywall and moved quite a bit of hay and firewood growing up around the house so I was always stocky and strong. After infantry basic in the Army i was 190lbs. That was, in reality, really light for me. After getting home I bulked back to 230lbs and started bouncing for local bars and working with local security officers and sheriffs departments around the town. Now i maintain 240-255lbs year round and stronger than ever.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling you get when finished training. The pump and stretch of the muscle is great but then at the end when everything is burned out and it is time to take in the post workout drink I feel great. Just relaxed and refreshed ready to go day to day!
How I Stay Motivated:
My Motivation is more like a hobby that myself and wife share. We both love to follow each others pace but also push each others limits. She can run longer than me but I can push through bad terrain and weather better so our differences push us to follow another.
BB Accomplishments:
No BB accomplishments but I finished 18th in a triathlon at the age of 15. 3/4 mile swim 32 mile bike & 6 mile run. it was pretty good to know that I finished it still alive.
I made it to 230. Well 228. It is so nice to be 40lbs lighter then before.
Goal (Long):
While working on dropping excess body fat % I would like to become stronger in my lower back and legs from a military injury I got in 2003. This way I can keep up with my 3 kids while they grow stronger and faster themselves.
