When I Started:
Sep, 2008
How I Started:
I looked in the mirror and realized I was fat. I put on clothes I've had for a long time and realized they didn't look right on me any more because I had gained too much weight.
Why I Love It:
To be quite honest, I don't love working out at ALL. But - I really do love the feeling AFTER working out. The nice, heavy feeling in your limbs after a hot shower and this feeling of "I've accomplished something" - and of course I enjoy stepping on the scale once a week and SEEING a change there since it's too early to see a change in the mirror.
How I Stay Motivated:
I get motivated by looking at pictures of my body at 152 lbs two years ago.
What got me started though and what keeps me going is my wonderful husband.
He inspires me with almost everything he does. He shows me every day that there is nothing I can't do if I just put my mind into it. Hell, if I managed to quit smoking after all these years, shedding these extra pounds should be a piece of cake :-)
Plus, I just want to look my best for him *gg*
I want to get my body back to how I KNOW it can look. Naturally thick, yet in good shape. I've been there before in 2006. So now it's time to make a change AGAIN and stick to it once and for all. I'm tired of having to replace my wardrobe with smaller/bigger clothes all the time :-)
I owe it to myself, my health and to my husband to get back to the healthiest and most attractive me I can be.
So today I decided to go swimming... this is something I haven't really done in about a year and let me tell you... I'm getting old *lol*
I did my hour in the water with a total of 45 minutes of constant swimming. First my left hand started cramping, then my right hip started hurting and by...
