In October 2002, I was almost 300 pounds. I began a low-carb diet and walked. In January 2005 I hit a plateau in my weight loss. Joined Gold's in March 2005 and was bitten by the "iron bug".
Why I Love It:
Since I'm more of a solitary person, it appeals to me. Bodybuilding is the ultimate "individual sport" because you're competing against yourself and every previous workout, every previous weigh-in.
How I Stay Motivated:
I often look at pictures of myself at my heaviest and promise..."never again".

This was taken two months before I began my transformation. This inspires me to keep getting stronger and healthier.
Well, after this morning's cardio workout, I weighed-in and was happy to see I had lost 1.1 pounds and 0.3% bodyfat. This makes 2 weeks in a row I lost weight & bodyfat. Now I just have to keep on doing what I've been doing.
WOW you have already made a great transformation. That is remarkable from your heaviest to now. I am just below my heaviest and must make a change. I have just started but already seeing some improvements. Best of luck and take care.
Hey, don't know if you are interested, but there is a cutting competition here on bb.com that starts next week. Take a look at "madsano" profile w/ details if you are interested. BTW, you are making great progress, keep it up!

Have a merry Christmans and a happy new year.
