Overall Goal: Improved my run time on the mile and a half.
From 11:45 down to 11:31!! Woohoo!! Feeling great.
Now I want to pack on some muscle.

I've started running and just doing body weight exercises . . . .it's good to start again!

How I Started:
Finished school and I knew I had to get in better shape. My clothes didn't fit right, I didn't feel well.
I wanted to be healthier, and of course, I've ALWAYS wanted an improved body. I've been chunky as a child, for once, I want to look and feel great. (And stay that way.)
Why I Love It:
I've discovered it feels great after a workout, I am more high-energy.
Of the FEW results I've seen, I'm already loving it!

Thanks Don. I have wanted to keep in touch with ya but you never seem to be in here.
drop me a line from time to time and let me know how you are doin.
That's great that you have a workout partner who pushes you. Maybe too much :-) but maybe you'll catch up to him faster that way. Hope it works out for you.
You're working on improving your running and you're doing body-weight exercises. What are your goals with that? Lose fat and be healthier? Are you ready to step up to weights?
Shin splints - ouch. I've read that a long stride and landing hard your heels can make that worse. How is the cushioning of your shoes? You wrote that you want to get leaner. How is your diet? Clean? Good luck with your training consistency with your training partner.
