How I Started:
I started way before this, but on a completely irregular basis. In July I decided to get serious about it due to a knee I don't want to change out any time soon.
I was in a car accident on Christmas Eve in Norway in 1997. I cracked my patella and femer. Spent close to a month in the hospital, numerous hours in a wheelchair, months on crutches, and finally walking! I did 2 years of physical therapy, hoping I would be able to bend my knee farther than 90' degrees (which is what the doctor anticipated), and whenever I got discouraged, my dad would tell me that I can do anything I want as long as I work toward it. Well, I love to ski, snowboard, ride horses, jump out of planes, climb mountains, camping, you name it! I had alot to strive for! And my knee is now fully functional, however I have to maintain muscle tissue, and build more so I hopefully will never have to see a surgery again!
Why I Love It:
It used to suck! Really, I had a billion reasons not to go, like; my gym is 25 minutes from my house, enough said! BUT (!) I got a trainer, so I was on a schedule, now I know most of the people in my gym, and I feel so good when I'm done! In fact, I can't stand being away from the gym... What a junkie.. :)
How I Stay Motivated:
I don't want to have a surgery.... I want to look good for me, and hearing compliments is a plus, which in return makes me want to work out more!

Goal (Long):
Just a note for below, I don't personally care to much about my weight, more about my bodyfat percent. I want to look healthy and hot....
And GOOD GOD! Found out my bf% was 28! I know "healthy" women are between 23-31% but I need to get closer to the lower half!!! So 23% by December.
What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
I don't have much support, actually none, so I record my improvements and find songs that I feel fit with situations that I can sing along to :)

Yes - family, No - friends. My friends, eh, well aquaintances, don't have the same goals as me. They want to stay drunk for now so fuck'em. What supplements do you take immediately after your workout? Why?

I feel the same about working out. I like to be completely exhausted and sore afterwards. - Oslo must be nice! I have never been to norway. I live close to frankfurt.
