When I Started:
Apr, 2008
How I Started:
My mom use to compete - about 15 years ago. She still trains women in Northern California. Ive been around fitness and gyms my whole life. I was rebelious as a teen and at one point weighed about 250... I dropped to 180 alone, with diet and exercise, no weights. But Im tired of being at 180 and in a size 12/14. I dont really care what I weigh, but I want to loose the fat and inches.
UPDATE - i was MIA for almost a year because i had a baby - and i used being pregnant as an excuse to eat what i wanted, and boy did it. its a year later and im up to 218. i gained nearly 70 pounds in 9 months. now im hurtin! and now i dont have the energy to get up at 430 to work out, and cant make it to the gym at all... so im starting from scratch...
Why I Love It:
... to be continued! : )
How I Stay Motivated:
Ok... its not easy. Im doing it for me and my new daughter now. I dont want to be a fat mommy. I want to be healthy for her! I want to teach her to be healthy, too. that is my motivation...
BB Accomplishments:
so far ---deciding to take control of my diet and my life... and one day, maybe a figure comp???
Oh, overweight is a big problem in USA. Have you watched the movie Super Size Me? If I am not wrong then about 60% Americans have overweight. It is because of fast food and a lack of physical activities. I mean that a lot of Americans have cars and don't walk anymore.
You have green eyes. I suppose they are just few who have them green. As I said, you have a beautiful face. You are born a glamor girl.
Hmm, was your mother a bodybuilder? I mean, did she have problems with extra weight before she started to visit a gym? If it is so then it is a genetic marker in your family. You have a beautiful face and if you lost extra weight then you would be a glamor girl. Although you look good and sexy even with your extra weight.
Oh that's great that you added me. I am really happy because of it. Why? Because I have a friend now who has the best smile on bodybuilding.com. Don't be afraid because of my profile is inactive. It is just temporarily.
Thanks for the compliment Sarah; never thought I'd be anyone's inspiration! Just stay focused and positive. Stick to a clean diet, exercise and sound mind and you are on your way. I still have a long way to go, but I definately know how you feel. I was so disgusted with how I let myself go. Keep in touch, I'd love to chat more and help in any way I can. Good luck!
When you see results it makes you want to work out twice as hard. I am glad that it is working for you. I just need to find time to work out. I work from 8am to 11pm most days of the week.
My wife and I know where you are coming from & believe that you can make your fitness dreams come true, probably sooner than you think. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax) went from size 12/14 to 4/6 and I lost over 50 lb’s and went from 36% to 10% bodyfat by following the 12 week Body for Life program. Push yourself, possibly out of your comfort zone and you will be amazed at the results and they will be well worth the effort. Give either of us a yell if you wish.
