When I Started:
Oct, 2007
How I Started:
Have always been into fitness. Have been in the military several years and it has become a part of my life.
Why I Love It:
Give me a chance to seperate myself from everyone else. The Army is all about competition. Every good school has tuff fitness program. Either your strong or your not.
How I Stay Motivated:
I take pics of myself every few weeks. Lets me actually see my improvement. I also track my numbers in both strenght and endurance. Also have a few buddies with similar goals who i work out with.
BB Accomplishments:
Have dropped my weist from 40.25 inches to 35 inches in about 3 months. Have also added 1.5inches on my arms:)
My goal is to weigh 200 pounds of lean muscle at around 10% bodyfat, and to be able to drop two 185 pounds at 6% bodyfat to compete in MMA.
Goal (Long):
I really let myself go last year, ugh, just look at the pics. Have been training for a few months now and am seeing results. Im stuck in iraq for the next 10 months, i have nothing but time to acheive my goals:) Want to increase my exlopsive strenght and functional strenght. Lifting big numbers doesnt matter to me, need to have the muscle and cardio endurance to fight for up to 10-15 min. Bench pressing 400lbs wont help me get there. Of course looking good is always a goal, always nice to turn heads, but i want that to be a byproduct of functional training and fighting. Im already half way there, just need to stick with it.:)
What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
poor form and technique

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
Dont really know, never really thought of it. I think it would be the deadlift or squat. Again, the danger would be from to much weight and poor technique
I just thought that I would drop by and wish you much success in your body transformation quest. Both my wife (bodyspace name: judimax) and I used Body for Life, which is a 12-week program. I lost over 50 lb’s and went from 36% bodyfat to 10% and my wife went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6. Always believe in your own inner strength and push yourself to be the best that you can be. I look forward to seeing your progress.
