Overall Goal: I pretty much want to gain quality muscle as my main goal. Secondly, actually more importantly I want to quit smoking.

When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I really started working out in high school but it was always off and on. After a few years of being in the military deploying and partying, then deploying again and partying again, I decided I wanted to buckle down and put some serious weight on.
Why I Love It:
I love the fact that I am an artist. I am sculpting my body the way that I want it to be. It's a great feeling knowing that I have that kind of control when it seems that I don't have that kind of authority many other parts of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Body building is my heroin (not that I've ever done heroin before lol) but I love the way it feels. I love being the one that pops into other peoples heads when they have something they need help with; ie: moving furniture.
BB Accomplishments:
I don't have any accomplishments of merit yet. I plan on competing in my first amateur event in about a year. I figure that'll be enough time to put some more weight on.

I have been in a kinda funk lately (the past two or so months) and I think I've finally broken free. I dunno what it was but I had a great work out today because I made myself do it. I guess I've just been going to the gym out of habbit lately and not because I was really passionate about...
You're off to a great start, Matt. And you sound so eloquent about why you love it: "...I am an artist. I am sculting my body...". yada, yada, yada. Truth is that you love howit affects the chicks, and you enjoy the occasional glances of intimidation from other guys. Huh? Am I right? :)
Good luck. Great success.

Hi Matthew! Thank you for the friendship invite, I appreciate it! I see you are a military man, please accept my thanks for serving our country. Best wishes to you on your training & quitting smoking. Hope you have a nice weekend.
Great thickness to the upper body and great tattoos. Good luck with quit smoking. I would recommend a book called "the easy way of quit smoking" by Carr. Let me know what you think about it.
