Overall Goal: Plan on buying my first two piece bathing suit this summer and look good in it! I'm a pumped member of "THE DO WORK CREW". The gym is about doing work. That's why it's called a WORKout. LOL.
Fit Status:
Did cardio this morning and one set of sit ups.
I was tired of being tired. My sister told me she didn’t know anybody who walked as slow as me (I found that hard to believe since I was only 38 years old) but that motivated me to revive my energy and get my vitality back. I had some exercise equipment around the house and decided I would use it especially the aerobic step. I live on the top floor of an apartment complex so I could not do step aerobics in my house. I would take the step outside to the ground floor and with my MP3 player I just started exercising by stepping up and down until I was winded and just kept at it no matter how odd I looked to my neighbors. I was committed. My friend had a membership at LAFitness and I decided one day to workout with him on a day pass and joined LAFitness that same day! I’ve been a gym rat ever since and loving it. Now I go to the gym more than he does!
Why I Love It:
The gym is my sanctuary. When I'm in the gym the world seems normal. I love the boost to my energy, the challenge of the workout, the improvements in my body, the adventure of learning more about bodybuilding, meeting my fitness goals and the confidence and focus bodybuilding brings to my life. I enjoy being around others who are bodybuilding minded as they inspire me to reach new fitness goals. I'm pumped when in the gym. I love walking into the weight area with my iPod and headphones and it's just me and that iron.
How I Stay Motivated:
When I’m in the gym I look at the people around me. When I see people with great bodies I’m motivated to make my body look great. When I'm out and about I see people out of shape, carrying a lot of extra weight, walking around sluggish, stressed and tired and they motivate me not to allow that to happen to my body.
BB Accomplishments:
My biggest accomplishments to date is I do 50 minutes of cardio which includes jogging, HIIT on treadmill, and stationary bike. I bench 110 pounds. Leg press 270 pounds. Bicep curl 50 pounds. I keep dropping bodyfat.

The gym ain't a playground. You're there to do WORK!

Goal (Long):
I want to be healthy. I want a sexy body. Heck, I want to be one of the sexiest women in the gym. I want to look good not because I know how to dress to flatter my figure but because my figure is flattering all by itself!
I find him inspirational because of his focused dedication to bodybuilding, his desire not to give up training after his accident and then starting the most awesome BodySpace group (Do Work Crew) to motivate and encourage others. He checks up on his BodySpace group members to keep in touch. AND he works hard on his modeling career!
Last night I finally hit 135lbs on the bench. I'm still in shock.
Last week when I was benching my boyfriend decided I should try to "feel the weight" as in the 135lbs. I bench 115lbs usually two sets for 5 reps so I wasn't "feeling" the idea of "feeling" 135lbs...
Summary: Jogging 20 minutes in the morning Monday through Friday. Hitting the punching bag on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Hitting the weights on Saturday morning, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Doing HIIT cardio on Wednesday evenings.
I commend your dedication. Keep up the work. The real key is how we eat,..consitently. It can be rough at times though. We're all stuggling with our food demons (smile).
Stay focused. Stay Fit.
Wifey beat you to it. lol...Its like everytime I turned around there she was with the face, saying how the machines robbed her. I think over the three days we were there I gave her like 400 from whatever I won. But you know what they say, If I win she wins through default...LOL.
