Start to cut up my frame, drop weight to 155 or lower, prepare for MMA competiton or BJJ competition when I get out of the Military.
Goal (Long):
I want to see what my ideal "fighting" weight is by starting to cut fat and triming "functional" muscle and strength, the goal is no higher than 155, obviously the lower I can go and maintain strength the better as people will be more my height/size.)
Wanting to start MMA when I get home, wife not really into the idea of me getting hit in the face... So while I work on getting her to accept me getting hit, I will be doing BJJ with her at the school she has been training at!

Bodyfat Goal:

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
I haven't had a personal exercise I was worried about, but one of my partners said "Good Mornings" were dangerous because if you get off balance your lower back might twitch to right itself and you could pull a muscle pretty easy.I haven't had a personal exercise I was worried about, but one of my partners said "Good Mornings" were dangerous because if you get off balance your lower back might twitch to right itself and you co...more

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I hurt my middle back when I was first starting out because I didn't properly stretch before the exercise. Luckily I was only out about a week. I recovered with rest and slowly stretching the muscle.I hurt my middle back when I was first starting out because I didn't properly stretch before the exercise. Luckily I was only out about a week. What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Improperly doing the exercise, trying to impress someone, and not focusing on the workout at hand.
Well, it has been about 5 months of working out and a month left until leave and I believe I have made some great progress! Specially in this last month. Looking at my May progress pic and then the one I took this month I saw some huge changes!! Changes I am very happy with! I hope...
Hey! Yeah I know. I have been gone for a bit. I not only let myself get derailed, I didn’t dish out the encouragement to my friends. I apologize. I know I don’t have to but I have found that my friends help me stay on track and I hope I do you as well. So please forgive me for abandoning you and fill me in on what you have been up to these last couple of months. How are your workouts? Diet? Motivation? What are you looking forward too? Have your goals changed?
