Overall Goal: To lower bodyfat to 10% by summer of 2010.
Fit Status:
Went thru nasty break-up (turned out to be a blessing) and got my ass in gear to make some real changes that benefit me.

When I Started:
Feb, 2007
How I Started:
My first true start was at MCRD (Marine Corps Recruit Depot)San Diego as a "diet private". It was there that I developed a strong love of running (still do), but a motorcycle accident and a reconstructed knee all but ended my long distance runs. I was looking for a way to lose weight/stay in shape when my friend and co-worker, and natural pro-bodybuilder Ben Goins (semper27)showed me his transformation pics from Reps! magazine. I was inspired to see such a transformation and committed to change my own body.
Why I Love It:
When running I loved seeing the progress of adding another mile to a long run or taking a half-minute off of a 5k PR. Now I realize that carries over into weight training; another rep over the last workout, adding poundage to a lift, etc. I LOVE the progress that I can measure.
How I Stay Motivated:
I know that if I don't show up and give it my best, Michaella (blue05mustang) will track me down and beat my ass to death!
BB Accomplishments:
Completing Michaella's (blue05mustang) leg workout!

We become what we think about most!
I've always been too embarrassed to take my shirt off in public. I was a shy chubby kid and self-conscious of how I looked. I have vowed to develop my body to the best that it can be, to be proud of how I look. My goal is to strip away the fat and replace it with lean muscle AND SHOW OFF THE NEW ME EVERY CHANCE I GET!
A friend and co-worker Ben transformed right before our eyes. The first person to tell me about BODYBUILDING.COM. Watched him win his pro card (after spitting on the judges and most of the front row! lol) in Evansville in 2008.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
I like being accountable for showing up and giving it my best everyday.
No one gets to know you like a good workout partner. They know when you are slacking and when you are giving a 110%. They know how to encourage you and squeeze out every ounce of effort you have got.I like being accountable for showing up and giving it my best everyday.

What type of outfit do you usually wear when you workout? Why?
shorts and sleeveless t-shirts because I'm there to train, not to win fashion awards.

What type of person at your gym annoys you the most? Why?
I know keeping count of macros and calories is essential, but what other things optimize fat loss?
Zig-Zagging calories? HIIT? Tabatas? I'm losing weight but the fat loss isn't in proportion to it. What am I doing wrong?
How are the workouts going!? LOL..I didnt eat enough over the holidays. I was so concerned I actually lost a tad!!LOL...I have to quit being so so...you know! Thanks for the ever present encouragement! Keep on brother! Your hard work has paid off and will continue to do so!
Hi Michael - I must tell you that every once in awhile, someone comes along and leaves just the perfect comment, as you did - thank you so much. I am very happy to know that you saw me as I am. Thank you also for the gift of your friendship - please drop by anytime :)
Urgh! ALL FAST FOOD SUCKS! It tastes sooo good for a reason. But...today's workout definately took care of that blizzard. :D Hope you get some well deserved and much needed sleep today. :) TTYL
Did I mention that 1 medium cookie dough blizzard has 950 calories, 143g of carbs, and 36g of fat!??? NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! WOW! They should post warning signs next to the menus!
Don't you just love leg day!? I know I do. I'm tryin' to find ways to keep from missing Sat & Sun workouts. It's the highlight of my day! The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle, right!? Good Job today!!!! You're F'in awesome!
