How I Started:
So basically I just wanted to lose weight and I had been drawn into it from guys I used to work with.
Why I Love It:
It's a GREAT stress reliever. I used to smoke cigarettes when I was overly stressed but working out has been a much better alternative. I quit cold turkey and haven't looked back since.
How I Stay Motivated:
Honestly looking at all my old pics here and knowing I gained all that weight back is all the motivation I need lol
BB Accomplishments:
Losing 30+ pounds. Seeing as how I gained that **** back, my new accomplishment will be losing it again

Lose 30 pounds by my Birthday in March. Get under 200lbs by the first day of Summer 2010.
Goal (Long):
My new current goal is to just stay motivated in the gym and to lose roughly about 60 pounds. I gave myself a halfway point of around 30 pounds by my birthday and the final goal of getting under 200.
Right now I've been switching it up a bit. I'll walk for 15 minutes, stationary bike for 15 and/or elliptical for 15. Some days I'll do slow steady state, some days I'll run and of course a little HIIT.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
I try to keep it at 30 seconds for most exercises to keep my heart rate up and get some cardio benefit from lifting. Depending on the exercise though, I take as long as I need
Usually I work Chest/Tri, Back/Bi and Shoulders/Legs as my split with cardio throughout the week. I've been changing up what I actually DO in the gym too to keep my body guessing a bit so my workout really isn't set in stone anymore.
I feel great and sleepy when I get back from the gym too. Trainer told me to eat protein after getting in from the gym. I love to eat chicken (not fried of course). lol
Thats pretty impressive man. I hope I can have the same stick to it attitude as you! So far so good though, I've been able to eat clean dispite alot of temptation...I know I'm not making it to the beach this year so just trying to cut up for next summer!
Yes, I like the feeling of free weights, I am definetly sticking to it. You are right though, I was very intiminated, but not anymore! Congrats on the weight drop.
