How I Started:
Ever since I was younger I had never really been fat or skinny just kinda in between. I started working out off and on 3 years ago but never really staying consistent. In January of last year I weighed in at 262 which is the heaviest I've EVER been in my entire life and I've been going pretty hard in the gym ever since.
Why I Love It:
I just love the feeling after you finish that last set. The sense of accomplishment really carries you for the rest of the day. Also, it's a good release for any stress I have.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have a pretty long track record of not finishing things that I start so I want to prove to myself and others that this isn't one of those things. Plus I check other people's pages and transformations and it lets me know I can do it too if I put the work in.

Getting right back on this horse after falling off so hard.

Goal (Long):
My new current goal is to get myself down to about 185-190 by the end of the Summer and do a clean bulk immediately afterwards to put on about 10-15 pounds of muscle.

Lipo6 and I took an ECA stack a while back. Take them about 15 minutes before I walk into the gym.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Nobody's perfect and nobody expects you to BE perfect. You might slip up and miss a workout here or eat some cookies there but as long as you keep working and believe in yourself, you can make this work. Why I like this video: Ah who can forget this gem? No offense to the guy in the video but this is pretty terrible and can show beginners how NOT to deadlift. Ever.
Had a really good workout today. I overdid it a lil bit on chest day so I tried to go a bit easier today on back day but I'm stronger with pulling exercises than pushing so I went kinda heavy. All my lifts felt good and my cardio was pretty good too. I'm not quite back up to where I want to...
Usually I work Chest/Tri, Back/Bi and Shoulders/Legs as my split with cardio throughout the week. I've been changing up what I actually DO in the gym too to keep my body guessing a bit so my workout really isn't set in stone anymore.
Thats pretty impressive man. I hope I can have the same stick to it attitude as you! So far so good though, I've been able to eat clean dispite alot of temptation...I know I'm not making it to the beach this year so just trying to cut up for next summer!

things are going really well. I am so close to getting under 300lbs. I also signed up for another contest at my gym today. Whoever can make the biggest change in their body in 3 months, wins $1000 dollars.
