I want to be as healthy as I can be through nutrition and exercise.
For a goal: lower BF to 17%, increase LBM. Become stronger.
Goal (Long):
Be the very best that I can be at 53! Living a "clean" lifestyle is a priority. I don't plan to compete and I will never be as beautiful as the women on this site, but I'd like to take my potentials as far as possible.
Gain strength -- through lifting hard and heavy.
Challenge my body -- through discipline in nutrition and exercising
Create a healthy "me" -- mind, body and spirit
Feel powerful and assured -- Maintain my weight of 125lbs. but lower BF% to 17% from 20% now.
Three weeks ago, I decided that for my upcoming 53rd birthday, I would offer myself a 20-week nutrition and training program from a real pro. I felt like I had muddled around long enough and it was time to get busy.
Am at the end of week 3 and have lost a bit of weight -- but more...
This is a 4-day a week program with a two-week cycle. Each week, the exercises are modified slightly or rotated.
The first week is listed below. I'll put the second week in when I have a bit more time.
Takes about 60 minutes (not counting warm-up and stretching...
I just thought that I would drop by and wish you my friend, much success in your quest to get fit. Always challenge yourself to be the best that you can be during each and every workout and believe in your own inner strength. I wish you all the best of the season and look forward to seeing your continuing progress in ’08.
Thank you Dedene. I know it's a slow process and I know I am making progress. Thank you! There are parts of my life I still have to change, but I know I will get tehre in time.

I've always been into fitness. When I was young I used to compete with horses(dressage, jumping, and western trail). I got interested in weight lifting when I had to quit. I miss having something to compete for.
Thanks for the nice comments. I work hard to be the way I am. In the picture I am holding a Samurai sword. It's one of my hobbies martial weapons training.
