How I Started:
In March 08, I stepped on the scale at my girlfriends house... It read 235, the heaviest I have EVER been by 60Lbs! I joined Weight Watchers, and lost 40 lbs, but plateaued at 190Lbs. What always bugged me at weigh-in's was that I would loose weight, but not body fat%, so I decided I needed to start working out. I began the couch potato to 5K running program... got bored with it, so I decided to give weight lifting a try.
Why I Love It:
Because I can push myself to failure, and still feel like I accomplished something, where in running, if I push too hard & burn out, I can easily walk home.
How I Stay Motivated:
looking at pictures of fat - fit people & seeing what I was like when I use to lift during my Marine Corps days.
