I want to recover my health by eating clean. I want to get back into shape by pumping iron, walking and going for a swim now and then.
Goal (Long):
I need to focus on a diet that keeps me off crutches. I have Gout in both big toes, both ankles and my left knee, so I have to avoid most PROTEINS which brake down into purines, which break down into "uric acid".
I also need to watch my PH Balance so I have to avoid many foods because of acid content.
I am going on the "Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type" Diet as soon as I find out my blood type.
Yes like all guys I want to have a six pack by 50 which means a low body fat.
I have heart problems so I take a Beta Blocker which keeps my heart rate slow(and metabolism).
I have Blood Pressure Problems so I can't have anything like caffeine, no salt, and so on.
And Lastly as I melt my fat, the fat cells release stored "uric acid" which usually trigger my Gout, which usually puts me back on crutches.
So lets do this and stay positive.
Thenaturalone has the body that I hoped someday I might have. But I used to come to BB.com before I was a member and I would think man it would be great to look that good. You inspire all of us that want to get back our health. Thanks for having a low body fat! And Being a promoter of "Natural BB". Darrell
I usually rotate my workout every six weeks & I write my own workouts. I usually hit the hardest first. back, chest, shoulders, abs, arms and legs last. By doing legs last it allows the upperbody another rest day before doing back again. (actually now that I am older I only do maintenance on legs for the gland stimulation) So I include them with arms.I usually rotate my workout every six weeks & I write my own workouts. I went off Keto because of my Gout(The by-product of PROTEIN is PURINES and its by-product is URIC ACID. When you have too much UA, crystals form in your joints that are like glass! Massive damage, pain and swelling occurs). So I have been reading more about PH balance(ALKALI/ACID)....
I dropped by to wish you all the best as you work towards your fitness goals. I know where you are coming from and believe that you can make your fitness dreams come true. I followed the 12 week Body for Life program and lost over 50 lb in those 12 weeks. If there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance please feel free to give me a yell. I would like nothing better than to see you achieve your fitness goals. Believe and Achieve!
Hey there, Darrell. How's everything been going? I kind of slacked off a little over the summer, was doing a lot of cycling, but have gotten back into the swing of things. Hopefully, all is well w/ you. Let me know how you're making out, and have a great day.
Even though you've been on crutches, have you hit the gym to do upper body exercises? Did you know there's an arm-only machine that works like bike pedals for the arms to do cardio with?
Thank you Darrell:) It has been an awesome experience watching my body change. The best thing I do is take pictures every week to watch my progress. You keep doing the same and keep posting them!! It is completely worth it:)
Darrell, I know what I have to do but I have been so frustrated lately because I know what I have to but was not doing it. I agree that I have to do what was working in the past. And the biggest thing is that I am my biggest critic when it comes to critizing myself
Darrell, stopped by to check up on you.
Cool new progress pics and excellent job with the weight loss! Keep up the great work and keep me posted!
All the best!
Thanks Darrell! Working hard to get lean! I'm shooting to shed another 10 lbs before adding 10 lbs of muscle...the other goal is to increase my stamina, running and overall speed. Keep working towards your goals!
Thanks for the suggestions Darrell. I started doing the Raw Food diet for a bit and was dropping A LOT of weight (about .5lbs a day on a 124lb body). I will definitely research your suggestions. Thanks!
