How I Started:
I'm starting in May! I have just gotten to the point where enough is enough and I'm now ready to make the change for good. I refuse to buy the next size up in clothing. I went through a 2 year separation and was recently divorced April 14, 2009. I'm an emotional eater and had gained a lot of weight in my marriage, having two sons, and then going through divorce. I wasn't always fat or thick (how men refer to me). I used to be athletic back in the day. I ran track and swam in highschool and I also practiced Tae Kwon Do and entered in tournaments. I earned my 2nd degree brown belt. It wasn't until seeing pics from my trip to Miami in April that I realized how big I had gotten. I didn't feel I looked like that. Despite the weight I'm a pretty confident woman. I love the woman and mother I am, but I want my exterior to match my inner beauty.
Why I Love It:
I love the way I feel after a workout; great mood, full of energy, less stressed, and ready to face any challenge I may come across.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm hoping by making a commitment to myself and by being on this site will help to keep me motivated.

Goal (Long):
I have been told I was overweight or fat from as early as I can remember from my mom. Even when I was an athlete in highschool and had a four pack it was never good enough. I want to feel confident and sexy and be able to wear whatever I want. I want to have more energy to keep up with my 4 & 3 yr old boys. I want to love myself on the outside as much as I love myself on the inside. I want to lose 51.2 pounds by November 1, 2009 and be right around 25% body fat or less. I'd love to eventually run in a marathon, triathalon, and compete. My dream is to be a fitness model and be featured in a fitness magazine.

Do you men like women to approach you in the gym or not?  I don't have many opportunities to meet guys so, my options are on-line dating or the gym, lol.  Been doing the on-line thing for about 1.5 yrs now and it's not really working.  Maybe I'm just on the wrong sites.  I'm not meeting...
