When I Started:
Sep, 1988
How I Started:
I was a 120 lb weakling in high school and got picked on and had very low self esteem so a logical solution for me was to start working out. Within less than a year I was up to 145 and remained that bodyweight for many years after I had gotten out of high school.
Why I Love It:
Its healthy, gives a great feeling of endurance, strength, and vitality, and changes my body in a positive way. All of this also has a positive psychological effect that spills out into all other aspects of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just know that it won't be done if I don't do it. I used to read muscle mags religiously and have retained many good points and techniques in memory that pros would give out and write about. Sometimes I look at pictures of others' development and it really inspires me too. But probably the biggest motivator, now that I've continued in it for a while, is watching my body change and swell almost daily.
BB Accomplishments:
When I went from 120 to a permanent 145 in high school was quite an accomplishment for me. I worked out off and on a little ever since over the years, never accomplishing a whole lot. Fast forward to the last couple of years I've been working out seriously and consistently and I'm now at my long-time goal of 200 lbs! Now to accomplish my lifting (lbs) goals!
Why I like this video: There's a lot of misinformation about training the lower abs and most of its based in tradition. If I'm not mistaken the military STILL uses the dangerous sit up as a "stomach" exercise when its useless for that. This guy will show you the CORRECT WAY to train your lower abs.

How do you know that my arms aren't really 9 inches around... ;) They are growing... I want to hit 15 inches by the end of the year -- more would be great! How is everything going?
An hour of chest work once a week. Perfect pushups, barbell/dumbbell benching, cable crossovers, etc. I think consistency week after week is the real key.
David--
