When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
I fell off a 2 story building Jun 2006, crushed both ankles, fracture my spine and tore both rotator cuffs. Doctors said nothing could be done to repair my broken ankles or spine, I will never walk right again and I will always be in pain. After 3 months in a wheel chair I had enough and began a weight lifting program. I'm now walking again due only to my dedication to working out, making realistic goals and staying focused.
Why I Love It:
I found BB.com and was inspired by the articles of people telling how they got started and the experienced BB showing how to do it right.
How I Stay Motivated:
The people on this site and I look in the mirror every morning. At a time when most would give up I see my body growing stronger.
BB Accomplishments:
Retrained leg and ankle muscles to improve my balance and build strength. I am losing the belly I received while in a wheel chair for 3 months and building muscle on my whole body.

Just out of the wheel chair of 3 months. Starting over....AGAIN!
I look bad, real bad! In a wheel chair for 3 months gave me a gut and fat at 178lbs. Time to get serious!
7 months after rotator cuff surgery and starting over. Some fat to lose but no too bad.

Goals:
Main Goal:
Transform My Body
Goal (Overall):
Rebuild entire body, lose fat, gain definition and muscle.
Goal (Long):
Update: 6-15-08 Took a long time to recover from surgery but now back to working out. Starting from scratch, can't bench much yet but I'm workin on it. Update: 2-1-08 Still recovering from surgery and preparing to have another rotator cuff surgery so I will be down for 3 or 4 more months. Then it's back to the bench! My spirit is good and positive. Update 4-10-07 I'm walking very well now and can focus on working out more. Doc said to give the shoulders a break from lifting for a couple weeks. The fractured back is healing and so are the shoulders. I've bulked enough and now switching to fat loss and defining for a month or two. Need to look good again for the beach! Jan 31, 2007 Doctors told me I would not be here after my accident if I was not in such good shape physically. The accident destroyed my body and mind. TIME TO GET SERIOUS!! I will reduce the fat I gained over the last 3 months and increase strength and definition in 30 days. Then begin building bigger and stronger muscle on my whole body. All while re-learning to walk again. How's that for dedication??
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
6%

My training is set back 1 1/2 weeks. I purchased the 2 gallons of liquid egg whites and they went bad as I finished the second gallon. I got a bad case of food poisioning that lasted over a week and caused my kidneys and liver to start shutting down. Recovered now, just disapointed that I...

Ok, I'm presently on a bulking diet composed of 50% carbs, 40% protein, and 10% fats. Most carbs are in the form of oat meal, brown rice, and berries and bananas. Other carbs are fibrous green veggies. Fats in the form of olive oil, nuts, and Omega 3 fish oil (tabs). Proteins include chicken, fish, and ground bison, mostly. The cut diet is very similar, but reduces the portions significantly. Hope this helps. Remember bb'ing is a long term commitment. Have fun! Rick.

Looking Great man. You look like one of those guys on the infomercials who already has a great body but wants to get cut. I would imagine it would be easy for you. Good luck.

thanks Dave... but actually the Headaches was only that one.. and I equate it to sinus.. the rest was just head pressue which is a common side of the supplement. However, I am not taking it anymore due to being un-happy with it.

Thank you so much. I'm very proud of who I am but I have a long way to go to meet my goals. I use to have my age, state, location...everything, including a face pic of me, posted but someone told me they thought I was foolish for doing so. They thought I was making it too easy for someone to "find" me should someone have that in mind. So I just deleted it all. Maybe I'll post it all again......
