When I Started:
Jun, 1998
How I Started:
When I got out of the army I was a in incredible shape but skinny. Started working out with a pro-bodybuilder turned personal trainer and went from 175 lbs to 198 in 1 1/2 years.
Why I Love It:
Because I respect the athletes that are able to accomplish their bodybuilding goals and stay natural. When you know what type of dedication and devotion goes into this sport, you can't help but to love it and admire all it's athletes.
How I Stay Motivated:
That is the hard part!! I am an intravert so I get most of my motivation from reading and chatting on BodySpace.
In 1998 I was 202 lbs and 12% Body Fat. I started living the lifestyle of the "desk job" and wow-what happened?
Now, at over 40 years old, my goal is to get back to under 14% bf and top the scale at around 215 lbs.
How was your holiday? We had a wonderful time. Diet was off for the week. Now it's time to get back on track. Running has been great for me still. Have a great New Year's
Thanks Daryl :) I've read some of Tosca's stuff in Oxygen magazine, but I just started eating everything as minimally processed as possible so I'm guessing we're pretty similar. That's great you started today...let me know how it goes! Hope you had a good Christmas too :)
I stopped by to say way to go and to wish you nothing but success as you continue to work towards your fitness goal. Too many people think it can’t be done and so they don't even try but you have proven & are continuing to prove that with hard work and dedication it can be. I look forward to watching your progress. You are a great inspiration to so many others. Stay strong, focused and determined.
Hey! Thanks for your comment on my blog- very much appreciated. I hit my 100 pound weight loss goal today and it is awesome. Stay strong and focused and keep me posted on your excellent progress. All the best!
Hey Daryl, just stop by to see how's things going and to let you know that I am still hanging in there. My keg has now turned into a case. I will be adding some progress photos at the end of the week. Stop by and tell me what you think. God Bless!
Thanks for the input. Just the other day I had learned something about the body type I have and its an endomorph. It goes to explain that my body has a high insulin output, low thyroid output, and an increased appetite with a low sympathetic nervous system. It explains to cut carbs and bulk more on protein and keep fats up to supplement the loss for carbs. I think its begining to pay off.
They have been going alright got sick due to the weird weather so that wasted my time..slowly seeing progress... slowly. Started the 12 week video trainer.
i appreciate that my brother. i don't look like that all year long. as soon as i get to a lean 198, i will try to stay at about 6%. when im tryin to gain muscle, i have to intake alot of carbs and fats.
WOW~ Thank YOU!! What a wonderful compliment!! Now if you sign up w/JPhillips17, he'll really help kick your transformation into orbit! Thank you again! Would love to hear how you & your wife's progress is going:)
See you at seven feathers! I don't think I'll be competing in it this year.. got some other shows mapped out.. BUT!!! My brother might come in as a middle weight this year!! Good luck man!@@
