When I Started:
Oct, 2007
How I Started:
Actually I used to have the mentality that working out (weight lifting) would ruin my martial arts and make me slower. Until I gained a friend who worked out almost daily and is one of the best martial artists I've ever met. Super fast and great strong movements, he convinced me that if I wanted to get better and be stronger I'd have to work out my muscles as much at the gym as I do during my martial arts classes. He taught me that weight lifting has many different aspects to it and different paths a person can take. You can go for the super bodybuilding physique, a healthy body, or even a great sports/martial arts body that can help with speed and power. Since then I've put almost as much thought into working out at a gym as I have about training in martial arts.
Why I Love It:
Makes me feel happy after a long hard workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm just tired of seeing my reflection and being disgusted at myself. It's time to do something about it. (Ironically)
What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
Martial Arts. It's just easier than running for half an hour heh.

What is your cardio exercise plan?
Every Tuesday and Friday do at least 1.5 hours of Martial Arts training non stop. Usually start off with conditioning, then bag work, then basics, then abs, then whatever. welcome. Best of luck with the gains, the metabolism and the MMA training. 30 more on that frame and one great fearsome competitor on the way. Just be patient..it's all coming together. Andre
