hate the shape I have. I have tried to do something about it several times, now I am comitted to change it.

Why I Love It:
the feeling of accomplishment after every work out.
I love the burn, tells me its working
the look I see and the looks I get from my family

these guys are my inspiration. I realize if they can do it, transform, so can I.

Just finished my B'day Goal
Goal (Long):
I am tired of looking like a tired old man. I need to get back the vigor I use to have.
Time, age and stress have done a number on me and I need to re-evaluate my health, and other priorities.
Not only do I want to transform my body, I want to add muscle, lose that dreaded fat in the middle and tone up.
I want to give the young guys in here a run for their money. We over 50+ set are not out of it yet. We'll compete with you guys anytime.
I seriously hope I can look somewhat as good as he looks when I get to be his age. he looks awesome.
I just want 1/4 of what he has achieved already.

Ok, I just finished my Lenten duty, fasted, lost 10 pounds, did not slim down as much as I wanted, but there was some noticable change.
Now lets move on to Phase !!. I am stealing this title from one of my sons. It is going to be a phase of change. I am going to put into use all of the help...
Hey bro, thanks. Training is good! Got a nice black eye earlier! 10 x 3 min rounds of sparring with alternating sparring partners. Feel pretty wiped out now, lol! How u been?
thanks for stopping by, training is going good, just got done with a bulk, and trying to trim down a little however it's not working to well! My diet sucks but i make up for it intensity wise on the steel.
His workouts are what I find interesting. Are those really his workouts? I'm a newbie to weightlifting and as I understand it, using heavy weights is for strength training and multiple reps with lighter weights is for toning. I'm currently doing the latter, partly because I'm starting out with very little muscle and I don't want to put too much strain on the tendons. Would I get better gains using fewer reps and more weight?
I have been one of the many MI residents out of work since January. I have had two excellent engineering opportunities that I have traveled out of town to meet company executives but at the end of the day someone else gets the job. I'm starting to get tired of it but my training keeps me sane. -Jeff
