When I Started:
Nov, 2004
How I Started:
I missed feeling muscular like I did when working out in high school and college. I also missed the stress relief that lifting gives me and the constant high from overcoming one obstacle to another in attaining my goals.
Why I Love It:
I love the power over my appearance. Want to bulk up? Just do it. Rather look leaner with abs? Just do it. I choose and I do. Nothing else in life provides the results as surely as taking care of your body and becoming the physical specimen you'd like to be.
How I Stay Motivated:
Watching the progress in the mirror. Measuring the progress in the weight room. Feeling the progress in my confidence levels. Enjoying the endorphin rush.
How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
I try to keep rest periods short; under a minute

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I have had several: right shoulder, left wrist, right elbow, both biceps. The shoulder was definately the worst as it required time off without lifting. Rest is all that seemed to help. I worked through and around the other injuries.I have had several: right shoulder, left wrist, right elbow, both biceps. The shoulder was definately the worst as it required time off without lifting.
