My good friends were all doing competitions, so after watching them go through it all, I figured I would give it a shot.
Why I Love It:
It's addicting. I realize I have the worst genetics ever for this sport, but it gives a sense of achievement that I have been slowly but surely overcoming them.
How I Stay Motivated:
My Girl. She tries to outlast me when we lift together, and place higher than me at the same shows (she does figure), but we keep each other going. Everyone at the gym is also very supportive.
It's a fine line for me - I tend to carry abdominal fat, even though my upper torso and arms don't. So I taper, but do not eliminate them. Last year I just dieted too hard and carbed too late. Will do better this time. But basically, yeah - we're cut from the same cloth.
Hey D, almost 40lbs on your bench in 9 months is amazing. By your weight plot, I'm guessing there were a few months of carb depleted hell in there too. Any tips greatly appreciated. Looking great! al
Looking good bro. I like your statement in BB accomplishment. That is hilarious. Are you competing in the Muscle Beach Classic this year in Southern CA? Let me know man.
Hi Darren, I really like your profile. Financial and Physical mind. Cool (reminds me of myself{lol}). Best wishes on your NEXT competition...you Already got a bad fever. ~Dawn Melanie
