When I Started:
Nov, 2006
How I Started:
There I sat in November 2006, I weighed 250 lbs. and was at +30% bodyfat. I hated the way I looked and the way I felt. I was always tired, had poor nutrition, did not sleep very well and had no desire for life. I had been overweight all my life and could find every excuse for why I could not change. Then it hit me, my personal fitness was the only thing I really have any control over. I started reading everything I could about fitness and nutrition and started trying to change. I did not see immediate results but kept trying different approaches. In Febuary 07 I finally took the leap into fitness. By June 07 I had dropped 50 lbs. and was at 18% bodyfat. I have made my 07 goals and now I am reaching for higher goals.
Why I Love It:
Two things I love about working out: 1) It puts me in complete control of my body and 2) The confidence that I can achieve whatever I set my mind on
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep a "positive" journal. Anytime something positive happens I write it down. I also keep track of my progress, I make weekly, monthly and quarterly goals and celebrate each when I reach them.
BB Accomplishments:
Dropped 70 lbs. and 18% bodyfat

A lot of people make a choice. Few people have the courage to start. Rarely do people have the commitment to finish. The people who do are the people who have the guts to get through the losses along the way in order to reach the victory at the end.
It's not until you make the target a matter of life and death that you end up living.
