I was overweight in high school (50+ lbs.) and decided i wanted it all to stop! So i used this site, joined the football program at my school, and worked my ass off. I lost 60 lbs by the time the next season rolled around. After i wrestled, I gained back 30 lbs within 3 months, most of it lean because of the extreme state of dieting i had been in.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of sculpting and being your own artist. It's more than just lifting, its indicative of a person's heart and stature. If i can improve just a little bit everyday, I know I can continue this quest to be fit for the rest of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I use intrinsic motivation, usually based on how I look. I gain fat easily (endomorph) and so motivation is never in short supply. ALso, my girlfriend helps somewhat, but is never the driving force. Sometimes she's ever detrimental because she likes eating sweets. Dear lord help me because so do i.
BB Accomplishments:
lost 60 lbs, gained back 70% of it with twice the amount of muscle and my lifts have more than doubled in every exercise since then.
