I have always worked out and been athletic but it was only when I attended a competition supporting a friend and decided to try my hand at it. So, November of 2005 I made the commitment and began training to compete in my first show. The Shannon Dey Southern USA in April 2006. I placed 1st in the Figure over 30 division and I was hooked. Now I just can't get enough!
Why I Love It:
I love it because it keeps me looking great and feeling young. I love envisioning my body to look a certain way and then transforming it to comply! It is amazing how that can actually happen if you are willing to do what it takes.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at competition photos and set dates to compete. It also doesn't hurt that I surround myself with others that take fitness serious not to mention that living in Florida means being in a bikini a majority of the year!

Forming a mental picture is just the start. Make it happen!
Well, I am in Columbus patiently awaiting my debut on the Arnold Stage tonight at pre-judging. Feeling good and looking good as well. I am super excited! I can't even believe it is finally here! If you are at the show, stop by the ALR Industries Booth and say hello!!! Wish me...
Thank you for sharing your progress pics. I am doing my first show and have no idea what to expect. I am six weeks out and freaking out a little. Thinking that there is no way I can get to where I want in six weeks. But looking at your progress pics motivated me to stay focused. You DID transform in six weeks and seeing it really helped to put it into perspective for me. Thank you for sharing.
