When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
I've always been active in various sports throughout school but never really started to work out on a regular basis until college. I pursued a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion which kept me in the gym a lot for school but I still only worked out occasionally. It wasn't until I returned to college two years later to pursue a second diploma in Police Foundations that I became more heavily involved with weight lifting and began to be more consistent with my training.
Why I Love It:
I love working out for a few reasons.. I love getting in the zone, turnin up some good music, and just going at the weights. Just the feel alone of moving weights around is a rush for me. I love feeling the pump. There's nothing better than feeling full, hard muscles hangin off your frame while you walk to the fountain after a brutal few sets. I love the way it makes you feel. If you ever want to get out of a slump and feel better, hit the gym. I swear, leaving the gym after a good workout is paradise. Satisfaction. Accomplishment. Pride. Everything just feels better. The list could go on and on but I'll quit now. The point is, the benefits of working out are endless and not only do I love it, I'm addicted.
How I Stay Motivated:
I find that I always just want to look good in my own eyes. Unfortunately for me, no matter how much I improve, 'good' always seems to be just out of reach. Because of this, I am never quite satisfied and I am driven to look, feel and perform better than I did the day before. Also, working in a gym exposes me to impressive physiques and displays of strength and athleticism day in and day out which sparks my competitiveness and leaves me wanting to look as good and lift as much as everyone else. These reasons combined are what keeps me motivated.
BB Accomplishments:
I have yet to venture into the world of competition. I would love to make that a goal of mine in the near future if I can devote the time and finances to make that goal a reality.

Goals:
Main Goal:
Transform My Body
Goal (Overall):
My goal is to reach a lean 185lbs before leaving for Australia in mid-April.
Goal (Long):
I currently weigh in at a soft 198lbs and would like to improve my diet and cardiovascular routine to bring me back down to a lean 185lbs with visible abs. I am visiting my girlfriend in Australia for 2 weeks come April 9th and I want to be looking my best for a little fun in the sun and a couple good pics. I'm also very dedicated to reaching my goal of achieving delts that 'pop' and a strong muscular looking back. I plan on placing more emphasis on improving my posture by giving more attention to my posterior muscles instead of working out mainly what I see in the mirror. After training consistently for a few years now it is apparent that although I have made some measurable changes, I am not even close to where I would like to be and where I should already by by now. It is clear now that I have not worked hard enough. This is the motivation I needed to see that if I want to reach my full potential I either have to go 100% balls to the wall or nothing at all. Time to pull out the balls and look for a wall.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 13 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
8%

What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
I've always thought it would be fun to be a bodybuilder and have the physique of a Greek God on roids but in the real world, a more functional body would probably be a bit more suitable (not to mentio...more

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
I used to workout in increments (1 week on, 1 week off, 1 week on, 2 weeks off). I had no consistency and therefore saw little, if any, results.
It also took me a little while to realize the intensity...more

Hey everyone (I love how I write my blogs as if the whole world is reading them when in reality it's probably just me haha), I'm just throwing in another entry here to say that now that I've got a new camera, I will be adding progress pictures of myself on a regular basis. I'm not exactly sure...
