When I Started:
Apr, 2004
How I Started:
Starting working out at 135lbs at 5'10" when I was 16 years old. Mainly just wandering around the gym but my technique was reasonable because some of my friends actually knew proper technique somehow. Go figure. Problem was I had no idea about diet and I think I secretly loved the "turn fat into muscle" idea so I really didn't care about my diet. Once I got a car and a part time job I started eating out much more and and all that and was able to put a lot of fat on. I continued lifting weights but didn't make very good gains considering sugar was probably my main dietary nutrient with trans fat in a not so distant second. After I hit 245lbs seeing pictures of myself and realising I weigh more than anyone else in my family hit me really hard. I tried to eat more healthy food and after 6 months of losing maybe 20lbs I hit it hard and went on a hardcore clean diet April 2004. Never looked back.
Why I Love It:
I won't stop until I'm huge and shredded. Bodybuilding is the means to get me there.
How I Stay Motivated:
Goal sheet and NLP. Do a search on "goal sheet" for more info. As far as long term... I'll die before I'd go back. ;)
BB Accomplishments:
Completely recovering from a three and a half year 110lb, dirty bulk. ;)
