I got into lifting during my senior year in highschool (1998-1999), but was never able to fully pursue it due to being restricted in gym access because I wasn't involved in athletics and hadn't been able to take a weights class.
After a quick stint in the Army, I began a bunch of personal projects I hoped to have published, and before I knew it, 5 years of sitting in a chair at home and work caught up with me.
I didn't get fat because I always eat good, but I sure got weak (hooray for 70 lb bench presses).
Joined Bally's in May 2006, got off to a good start with a proper trainer, but was quickly interrupted by a housing / roommate / job / financial crisis 4-hit-combo that lasted over a year. Almost went bankrupt, lost track of everything I was trying to do in life, and am now just getting back to what I started nearly 2 years ago.
Why I Love It:
It's murder.
How I Stay Motivated:
Yeah, about that...
BB Accomplishments:
Uhhh... joining a gym?

Go from 180+ lbs and ~20%bf to 200 lbs and ~10%bf.
Goal (Long):
For starters, outline and stick with a consistent weekly diet / exercise routine for the next year; observe progress and optimize accordingly.
Ultimately, I'd like to go from my current 180+ lbs and ~20%bf to 200 lbs and ~10%bf. That's what I would consider "presentable".
I don't know how long it'll take because I don't have much current progress to use as reference, nor do I know my bodytype and nor will I take drugs or hormones of any kind. However, I can at least say I'll get impatient if it takes more than a few years.
I'll decide where to go from there once I get there.
