When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
I've always been pretty active, playing sports and stuff. I lifted some in high school and just after while I played hockey, but knew very little. Then I joined the army, and of course worked out there, but didn't really do any weight training. I didn't really get into any kind of organized training until I was in Iraq, there was not much else to do in what little free time we had and I really just wanted to look good when I got home.
Why I Love It:
I wouldn't say I "love" it. I do like it though. I feel productive when I've gotten my workout in for the day. When I am "good" and eat healthy, I feel much better. I'm not really a "bodybuilder" but overall, just working out and being fit makes me feel good, look good and gives me energy. Seeing the results of hard work over time motivates me in other aspects of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I don't always, but I do always manage to come back to it because I genuinely believe in the importance of being fit.
Burn fat, gain lean muscle. I'm a fat kid at heart, but I want to piss excellence.
Goal (Long):
In the long term, I want to continue being committed to transforming my body through diet and exercise. I hope to possibly work in the fitness industry.
I want to continue to gain lean muscle over time, and get my abs to show as much as I can.
I also want to start competing in sprint triathlons.
