Working out regularly was a natural progression of losing weight and keeping it off. Four years ago I lost 100 plus pounds by following a low carb diet. Without taking anything away from the diet, I could have lost on any diet because I was just ready. When you are 200 plus just walking is exercise. I started with a goal of 10,000 steps and now I work out with heavy weights 5 to 6 days a week.
Why I Love It:
I lost weight without a real exercise plan. I found out what calorie's and carbs worked to get the scale moving and I stuck to it with a few cheats here and there. When I reached goal, however i didn't look the way I wanted to so I picked up the weights. Just this morning I caught myself looking at my shoulder muscles as I brushed my teeth. Amazing stuff.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'd be lying if I said I was always motivated. I eb and flow. I have gained some weight back and lost it again. Just last year I stepped on the scale and realized that I had gained 22 pounds of the original 100 that I lost. I've sense lost that via a clean diet and 20 more.
BB Accomplishments:
None yet, but I have miles of road to travel.

Although, I was a college athlete, I spent the last 8 years of my 20's as a morbidly obese adult. Long story short, I lost over 100 pounds because I was certain I would die if I didn't. I have always had a secret fantasy to be supershero fit. Even when I was out of shape and over weight I dreamed of being in shape and proud of my appearance. Those dreams now include being physically healthy as well. I eat clean, work out consistently and try to keep the negative thoughts that kept me from achieving my goals in the past, at bay.
What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Can't think of one. I've seen a few in the BodyBlogs that get me seriously motivated.

Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
I don't have anyone in mind right now. I like different things about most of them. Legs here, abs there, delts in this photo. I respect all of their hard work but mostly I'm focused on what I can do.

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I went way to heavy when doing my delt work. I didn't work shoulders for a while and then I used my bodylastics. Took forever but I'm good to go now.
