When I Started:
Dec, 2004
How I Started:
I took my younger brother Jess to the Mr. Olympia contest in 2006 (see pics). After meeting some of the greats of bodybuilding I had an overwhelming desire to workout and improve my own life style.
Why I Love It:
I used to be an excellent track and field athlete. Years of injuries and sitting on the couch had taken a real toll on my body. I love the feeling of getting that athletic power back in my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation has never been a problem for me. All I have to do is look back at pictures of myself 3 years ago and I can't wait to get to the gym. I also watch Blood and Guts (Dorian Yates) and scare myself into going.
BB Accomplishments:
I benched 100 lbs more then I weigh last year (265 at 165). For me that was a huge accomplishment.
I want to gain 15 lbs of muscle before going to the Olympia this year.
Goal (Long):
As you can see from my picture when I went to the Olympia in 2006 formy brother's birthday I weighed about 170lbs. Before I go next year I would like to be around 200 lbs. I have put on about 15 lbs of muscle since last year and will be posting progress pics as I go. I am the worlds "hardest gainer" so this will be a challange.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 15 lb

I actually thought of that when I saw the strands on the floor! It was too late by then - but I thought if I ever deliberately made the decision, I would definitely go in that direction! Did you try benching your max yet? :D
