Do you currently have a workout partner?
How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
Light wieghts 5 sets at 8 to 12 reps
Heavy weight 3 sets at 8 to 10 reps
Because if done right both will lead to muscle fatigue.
How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
10 to 20 seconds. I can't stand waiting.

Between my kids, wife, work, and the gym I get pretty overwhelmed sometimes myself. I think it helps me that my wife goes to the gym also and that keeps me going. I have just made lifting my hobbie so I always keep magazines with me and listen to music alot when Im not working out and Think about what Im going to do when I get to the gym , try to stay pumped up till then. Some days I have to just make myself go.
