Overall Goal:  I've gained quite a bit of mass since this summer. Just want to keep going. I've realized that things won't happen as quickly as I want, but the journey is a satisfying one. I'll keep hitting it hard!

How I Started:
I had no clue what I was doing at first, but I knew I wanted to change my self-image. So, I bought magazines (mistake!) and did a bunch of research. I started at home first, using mis-matched equipment and whatever else I could get my hands on. Then, finally, I built up the courage to join a gym.
Why I Love It:
I love the idea of pushing my body to be it's best. I like the changes I've seen so far and I like that other people are also noticing changes.
How I Stay Motivated:
I use pictures and videos to keep a clear image in my mind of what I want to eventually look like and be able to do. My training mantra is, "Train like the world depends on it!" I know it's corney, but I like to think that I'm training to be able to save the world on a daily basis (my comic book geek roots there!). So, I keep pushing myself.

I've gained quite a bit of mass since this summer. Just want to keep going. I've realized that things won't happen as quickly as I want, but the journey is a satisfying one. I'll keep hitting it hard!
Goal (Long):
I've always been a little guy, THE little guy that everyone underestimates. I'm tired of people viewing me that way and I'm tired of viewing myself that way. I've always liked the superheroes with strength and invulnerability because that's what I wanted! Mentally, I'm there. My imagination and thirst for knowledge knows no bounds. I just need my outside appearance to match. I already love working out, but I'd like to really get to work and pack on a solid 15 pounds of muscle over the next 2 months. That would completely change my self-image, and it would be great to be able to be more confident at the beach and the pool for the rest of the summer as I'm gaining muscle.

Why I like this video: Seeing different animals do what they do is always amazing! Lot's of people try to compete with them, but that's a lost cause because they are the ultimate in what they do. I'd rather be inspired by them. Each animal is built perfectly and we can learn a lot from them.

Just wanted to post again to be consistent.  My new workout routine is to alternate the Westside for Skinny Bastards workout with a 5x5 workout each week.  So far, my body has responded great!  Tomorrow starts the WSB workout again. I can't wait!  And, I joined a group here on...

Possibly due to an allergic reaction to injected Toradol (pain relief), I've got "ticking" in my skull and spots in my eyes, but I am back! Fazer (who actually had a sinus infection, flu diagnosis was wrong; will Blog soon)
