I was always in the gym, and did nothing but play sports growing up. Then I got married and had kids. (Basically, I allowed myself to come last.) My brother has recently taken up bodybuilding. Seeing his dedication and no excuses attitude helped me to realize how far I had fallen. I either had to do this, or leave my wife and kids for an early grave. It's not a hard choice when you realize the severity of your lack of action.
Why I Love It:
It was scary walking into a gym after a 9 year absence and for the first time in your life being the fat guy. Once I got going though I quickly remembered how great it felt to achieve your goals and the sense of accomplishment that came along with it.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's pretty easy to stay motivated when you have a younger brother that is 4 inches shorter then you showing you up in every aspect you use to dominate him in. I am the bigger brother and I will not remain the smaller one for long!!!
BB Accomplishments:
So far I have been cutting to get to a point I can build from. I am down 70 lbs. total since March and up 10 lbs. in lean body mass. 50 more lbs. to go and I will unleash my fury on muscle mass abilities...

Started at: 315 lbs. 03/19/2008
Goal is: 186 lbs. 10/21/2009 (Long Term)
This is the first ever picture of me with my shirt off. Bitter sweet I guess. 51.5 Lbs. lost feels so good, yet I have so far to go. These are gonna be funny some day.
Don't get complacent. It has a bad negative effect...
My goal is to be athletically fit again. A sixpack and overall health are what I'm gunnin' for...
Goal (Long):
I was always athletic and healthy growing up. I lived in the gym and playing baseball year round. Then I got married, had kids and my focus shifted. I went from 180 lbs. to 315 lbs. before I was able to wake up from my trance. I want my sixpack. I want my health. I want my endurance and confidence back. I want to be 210-220 lbs. and 10% body fat. I know I can, and I am on my way. I'm hoping to cut the fat by my next anniversary. (06-03-2009) Then from there I will build and cut to reach my desired body.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 120 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%

I target 10 reps per set. I usually hit 10 on the first set, then 8, then 6, then I'm lucky to get 4 or 5 up. I lift heavy. I'm hoping it will help maintane the muscle I currently have while I am cutting. And I will continue to lift heavy to gain mass later on.I target 10 reps per set. How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
Never more then a minute. Typically 15 to 30 seconds to allow my focus to regroup. I want to keep the heart rate and the intensity up.

What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Meh... I'm not much into celebrity worship. I guess if I had to pick one I might go with Vin Diesel though. I don't want to be a bean pole pretty boy. I want to be bigger, but still cut.

Hey man, same here. The job hunt knocked me down for a couple weeks but I have been hitting it hard the last week and a half. It feels really good to get back on it. How are you doing?
Yeah, the video is cool! It's got a couple cheesy parts, but overall, it's pretty inspiring! I guess, mostly, because that's how I remember football practice!
awesome man, good to hear. I'll take a listen when I'm home from work. www.myspace.com/murderislegal is where you can hear the stuff I've recorded. I also play metal/rock etc.. Anything heavy. I also play acoustic.
Awesome man! How long have you been playing? I've been playing guitar for about 9 years now. How do you like those Basson cabs? I was offered an endorsement by them earlier but never took them up on it. I've heard good things though. What type of music do you play?
